Seerat-e-Mustafa ﷺ is regarded as one of the most comprehensive books on the blessed biography of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. The author, Allama Abdul Mustafa A’zami رحمۃ اللہ علیہ, provides every important detail associated with the Prophet’s (ﷺ) exemplary life. The book is divided into 21 chapters. It starts by clarifying why the Holy Prophet’s (ﷺ) life should be studied by every single Muslim. Then, it presents the conditions of the land of Arabia. Then the life of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) in Mecca is described, which includes a description of his family nobility and genealogy, and brief accounts of his ancestors are also mentioned. Then it presents the events from his innocent childhood to the revelation. It also presents the events from the announcement of prophethood to the pledge of allegiance at Aqaba. Spanning 873 pages, “Seerat-e-Mustafa ﷺ” is both an Islamic literature and a historical account, because every event is discussed in accordance with the Hijri years. It also describes what commands were revealed in a particular Hijri year. The 19th chapter is about the Mothers of Believers (رضی اللہ عنہن), the Prophet’s (ﷺ) Children, and close companions (رضوان اللہ علیہم اجمعین). The 20th chapter is about the miracles of the Prophet ﷺ, while the final chapter describes the rights of the Prophet ﷺ over the Ummah, presenting a discussion on important topics such as Durood Sharif and Waseela. اس کتاب میں سیرت النبی ﷺ کے ضروری مضامین کو بڑی جامعیت کے ساتھ بیان کیا گیا ہے۔ اس کتاب کو مصنف نے اکیس ابواب (Chapters) میں تقسیم کیا ہے۔ ابتدا میں سیرت کے معنی و مفہوم پر گفتگو کی گئی ہے پھر سرزمینِ عرب اور حجاز مقدس کے حالات پر بہت اہم گفتگو کی گئی ہے۔ پھر حضور تاجدار دو عالم ﷺ کی مکی زندگی کو بیان کیا ہے جس میں آپ ﷺ کی خاندانی شرافت و نسب نامے کا بیان شامل ہے اور آپ کے آباء و اجداد کے بھی مختصر احوال مذکور ہیں۔ پھر آپ ﷺکے معصوم بچپن سے لے کر نزول وحی تک کے احوال مرتب کیے گئے ہیں ۔نیز اعلان نبوت سے بیعت عقبہ تک کے واقعات کو بہت احسن انداز سے بیان کیا ہے۔ اس کتاب کی یہ خصوصیت ہے کہ اس میں سیرت النبی ﷺ کے واقعات کو ہجری سالوں کی ترتیب کے لحاظ سے بہت خوبصورت انداز میں پیش کیا گیا ہے۔ نیز کس ہجری میں کون سے احکامات نازل ہوئے ہیں اس کو بھی بیان کیا گیا ہے۔ اس کتاب کی ایک اور خصوصیت یہ ہے کہ اس میں شمائل و خصائل نبوی ﷺ ، اخلاق نبوی ، طب نبوی اور پیغمبری دعائیں بھی شامل ہیں۔مزید یہ کہ انیسواں باب امہات المؤمنین، آپ ﷺ کی باندیاں، اولادِ اطہار اور متعلقینِ رسالت ﷺ کے بارے میں ہے۔اور بیسواں باب معجزات نبوی پر مشتمل ہے ۔ آخری باب میں امت پر حضورﷺ کے حقوق کو بیان کیا گیا ہے جس میں درود شریف اور وسیلہ جیسے اہم موضوع پر بھی بحث شامل ہے۔ یہ کتاب سیرت النبی ﷺ کے حوالے سے ایک جامع کتاب ہے جس کے مطالعہ کے بعد قاری نبی کریمﷺ کی سیرت کے تمام پہلوؤں سے متعارف ہوجاتا ہے۔ بطور مسلمان ہمارے لیے یہ ضروری ہے کہ ہم اپنے نبی ﷺ کی سیرت کو جانیں اور اسے عام کریں اور اس کےلیے یہ کتاب ایک بہترین انتخاب ہے۔
