Prayer is the second most important pillar of Islam, and has been recommended many times in the Holy Quran. The booklet under review is an excerpt from a chapter of the booklet "Faizan-e-Namaz" written by Ameer-e-Ahle Sunnat Allama Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri دامت برکاتہم العالیہ and is titled "Afzal Tareen Amaal (The Most Excellent Deeds)". This 17-page booklet describes the Salah, which the Holy Prophet صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ describes as the cooling of His Eyes. It explains the importance, efficacy and effects of prayer. Some of the topics of this booklet are: The flames became red agate, Two rak'ahs are more than anything in the world, The earth weeps for forty days, The praying woman and the fish.
